Fewer retrenched this Year, says HR Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 (Bernama) - A redundancy report by the Labour Department shows that the number of dismissals has halved this year, between Jan 1 and Sept 30, compared to last year, Parliament was told today.

Human Resources Minister, M. Kula Segaran, said the number this time is 15,903, while last year, for the same period, it was 31,945.
