Its minister Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun said by taking into account the challenges faced by the group, the plan emphasised on giving guidances as well as building the entrepreneurs’ strength and competitiveness to compete at higher levels.
She said the plan was expected to be ready by June to be implemented for the benefit of entrepreneurs.
“This is in line with the aspiration of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) in producing more competitive entrepreneurs especially among youth from the rural areas,” she said in her opening speech at the Rural Entrepreneurship programme here today.
Rina, during a press conference later, said the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) would update the entrepreneur development module, including to conduct review on the marketing aspect as an effort to assist and advance the group.
Rina said the move was important for the development of local entrepreneurs in line with the fourth industrial revolution (IR 4.0).
She said the move was necessary to ensure the long-term marketing aspect will take into account the use of the Internet and everything digital.
“For example, entrepreneurs in Cameron Highlands don’t have to open a store in Australia to sell their products in that country as the business transaction can be done online,” she said.
