Human Resources Minister M.Kula Segaran when launching the system said through LMI Gateway, labour market services delivery could be enhanced and become more efficient and flexible.
"The LMI Gateway provides quick access on labour market information to policy makers, employers, employees, job-seekers, researchers, academicians and investors," he said.
In the long run, he said, the LMI Getaway aimed to become the focal reference of excellence for labour market information nationally and internationally.
Kula Segaran today also launched the Electronic Trade Union Information System (e-TUIS), where it enabled activities of the Trade Union Affairs Department under the ministry which were previously done manually to be switched to online.
"I believe the benefits and advantages of using this system will assist in the administration and management of the respective trade unions later," he said.
