Syazlin Mansor whose application was granted by Coroner Rofiah Mohamad said by virtue of her withdrawal, the appointment by her clients of United Kingdom-based forensic pathology senior consultant Prof Dr Shahrom Abd Wahid as an expert witness in the inquest had become void.
Dr Shahrom was to have testified as the 29th witness for the second time on the 37th day of the proceeding today.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Taufiq Baharun who is also representing Muhammad Adib's family, told the coroner that he did not have any more witnesses to call.
On May 17, Rofiah allowed Syazlin's application to recall Dr Shahrom.
Muhammad Adib, 24, who was also a member of the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) at Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue station, was seriously injured in a riot at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, USJ 25, Subang Jaya on Nov 27, 2018.
He passed away after 21 days on Dec 17 at the National Heart Institute.
