Chief Justice Dr. M. Hatta Ali
Chief Justice Hatta Ali, the thirteenth Chief Justice of Indonesia, has been the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Indonesia since 1 March 2012. He is now serving his second term.
Chief Justice Hatta Ali was elected as a Justice of the Supreme Court in 2007. He has served as the Deputy Chief Justice in charge of Supervision, Spokesman of the Supreme Court, Director General of Judicial Affairs, and Secretary to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He was also the president of the Asean Law Association, and the head of the Indonesian Judges Community (IKAHI).
Chief Justice Hatta Ali has over thirty years of experience as a Judge at numerous District Courts and High Courts throughout Indonesia. He started his career as a civil servant in the Office of Ministry of Justice in 1978.
