MANILA - Women entrepreneurs from the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) will launch next week the ASEAN 10x10 initiative that supports women business leaders in new technology.
The ASEAN 10x10 initiative will be launched during the ASEAN Women’s Business Conference from Aug. 28-31 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
The project aims to link large corporations in ASEAN and Philippine small businesses and startups for support services such as client acquisition, investments, mentoring, grants, and sponsorships, among others.
The launch will be led by the Department of Trade and Industry, ASEAN Women’s Entrepreneurs’ Network, Philippine Women’s Economic Network, Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), Magic Malaysia, and The Great Women.
The ASEAN 10x10 is in line with the country’s ASEAN chairmanship this year as one of its thematic priorities of promoting an inclusive and innovation-led growth.
This also aims to increase women’s participation in region’s economic activities driven by science, technology, and innovation.
