Samut Prakan Provincial Employment Office chief Cherdsak Wisutthikul and Labour Provincial Welfare and Protection Office chief Mayuree Intarachatorn were recently joined by executives from all local units under the Labor Ministry, in meeting with the NLA committee on commerce, industry and labor, which was led by Mr. Chen Namchaisiri.
The NLA committee traveled to Samut Prakan to get an update on the operation of one of the provincial foreign labor report centers and the labor skill development center in Bang Sao Thong.
Mr. Cherdsak offered the latest summary on the operations of the center to the visiting committee, who also requested more information concerning various issues related to foreign labor, before expressing their satisfaction with the province’s work.
Between July 24 and 28, two foreign labor report centers received information on the employment of 12,552 foreign workers in the province, including 4,242 Cambodians, 1,165 Laotians and 7,145 Myanmarese.
Both centers will be open for employers and their foreign workers to file their documents in person until August 7, or do so via www.doe.go.th.
